Financial Aid Policy

   rapPer the lease terms, tenants who do not follow the policy and ma will not be permitted to move in and/or will be sbursement from a bank or the University could be DELAYED. This policy does NOT apply to any Tenant on the monthly payment plan.

Step 1

Tenants must inform the Property Manager in writing and pay the equivalent of one month's rent by the original due date on your lease (July 10 for first installment, December 15 for second installment). One month's equivalent is equal to the amount due and divided by 12 (annual plan) or by 6 (semi-annual plan).

Step 2

The balance of the installment payment is due upon receipt of financial aid, including any relevant student loan policy considerations. The deadlines are September 1 for first installment and January 10 for second installment. All financial aid is dispersed to students by those dates.

Important Notes

• Please make all your payments online using the RESIDENT PORTAL. Payment of the remaining balance is always due no later than September 1 and January 10, after which late fees will be applied to your account. 
• No partial payments are permitted. If there is a delay in your funding for whatever reason, Tenants and their co-signers are fully responsible for making other arrangements for timely rent payments. 
• University Townhomes reserves the right to obtain proof from Tenants of their loan or financial aid status along with evidence that funding is approved.
• Per the lease terms, tenants who do not follow the policy and make rent payments will not be permitted to move in or will be subject to eviction by the Portage County Sheriff in accordance with Ohio Law  R.C. 5321.15
